Star Business Group runs an iodized salt factory with an annual production capacity of 700,000tons built in collaboration with foreign investors and local partners at Semera town, Afar National Regional State, is currently distributing quality salt for local market. The salt is also useful for medical and water treatment, mining and for other industrial purposes.

The Partners are currently engaged in building the second iodized factory in Afdera town. The factory about to be built will have an annual production capacity two folds.
